Miller and Hobart to Host Third Annual Welding and Heating Technology Conference at the ITW Welding Technology Center
APPLETON, Wis. (September 7, 2016) — Miller Electric Mfg. Co. and Hobart — in conjunction with E.H. Wachs — will host the third annual Welding and Heating Technology Conference in Houston on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016. Because the drive for greater profitability in the industry has never been stronger or more urgent, this free event will feature educational seminars with keynote speakers, panel and roundtable discussions, live demonstrations, and networking opportunities aimed at discovering ways to stay competitive, maximize profitability and improve operational efficiencies in welding and heating operations.

Those encouraged to attend include pipe fabricators, general fabricators, general or mechanical contractors, manufacturers, maintenance and repair operators, welding and gas distributors, educators, students or those in supply and rental.
The day’s schedule includes the following events:

Seminar: Staying Competitive with New Technologies & Welding Intelligence™ – Presented by keynote speaker Mike Lang of Fluor: 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Understand how to drive improvements with production and process monitoring tools.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Maximizing Profitability through Training and Weld Process Choices: 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Efficiently and cost-effectively develop better skills and realize the full potential in your welders.
Roundtable Discussion: 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Additional networking and hands-on demonstrations will take place until 6:00 p.m.
Following the day’s activities, the event will conclude with a Miller-hosted AWS Houston Chapter dinner and presentation featuring guest speaker Marcus Luttrell.
